Twins
Well, Silver Snow arrived and she is so pretty and I love her with Ferris (Candy Carnival).
But I am very excited because Robynn's twin will be arriving on Friday.
My friend has decided to let hers go. I was sitting on my hands all morning as I thought I just can't get another Blythe in so soon but talking it over with Murk, he thought it would be a good idea to have Rougie twins. Funny but I saw this girl for sale on ebay last year and was tempted then. I was happy to see her go to my friend and was surprised to see her up for sale. I do like knowing the history of dolls.
I think I will call her Roni. I want a "black" name and it's an anagram of Noir.
Robynn is waiting patiently.
I love my girl so much.

Silver Snowtime
I won this girl on the bay last night. So happy! She will be my third Silver Snow, the first and second are long gone.
A couple of contacts on Flickr have just bought her and seeing pix of this girl again made me miss mine. I was offered a full set boxed girl but I wanted a pre-loved* and then this auction came up at the weekend. Isn't she lovely?
It will be interesting to see how she compares to my original one. Pix of her below.
She is just so pretty and I can't wait. And to see how her hair color compares with Rosaleen (Ambrosial) and Vita (Simply Vanilla).
* (ick! can't believe I used that word!)

Still no name!
I just can't think of a suitable name for "Blue". I like the name to be loosely associated with their release name - Candy Carnival - means pink to me so I am already stumped. I think she has a 50's housewife vibe going on or a "beauty school drop out" as in "Grease". I can imagine her liking sleepovers and colouring her hair and it came out too blue. She likes dancing and flirting with the boys. Oh I think she is so lovely.
Here she is kicking her heels with Evette (Velvet Minuet). Really like how these two look together.
And a snap of Evette - she looks so wistful here.
I love these SBL girls, they are so pretty and depending on the angle that you take their photo, they can have a myriad of expressions. Coy, wistful, coquettish....
But back to naming - I've tried Peggy-Sue, Cathy Homemaker, Carly, Bonnie, Bonita, Lindy-hop, Belinda. I know I want something that is 50's sounding but can also relate to Candy Carnival somehow. Sweet, but not too wishy-washy.

Country Summer
I'm excited as I've just pre-ordered this girl.

It's summertime. The cows and horses graze leisurely and the chickens softly peck the ground. That's how you know we are living in the country. Let's wear our favorite dress for the picnic. Once my basket is stuffed with delicious foods, we are ready to go! It's a refreshing feeling to be surrounded by nature. In the Summer it's nice to spend time in the country. Her style is a soft marine look with little anchor printed dress with red piping. Add the hat and basket to coordinate to protect your self from the sun on the fun picnic. She wears cute cowboy boots. Now she's ready to ride a horse to the picnic! She has long, Light Brown hair which is parted on the side with side-swept bangs. She wears blue eyeshadow and pink lipstick and blush. She has a special light brown front facing eye chips. She has a Radiance + face with cream colored skin. Release Date: July 2014
I love the look of her dress. So sweet and nautical and bonus with the boots. I'm wondering if her hair will be the same colour as Very Vicky? The hairstyle looks similar but with the sweep on the opposite side.
And "Blue" is settling in well though still nameless.

New!
A new blog for my Blythe girls. And what better way to start a new blog than with a new doll!!
Candy Carnival SBL arrived today! She was released in 2005 so I've waited a long time to get her! The joy of opening these older girls is that they came with so much stuff. And they had pretty undies.
Her hair is such a pretty blue. The bag that she's lying on was a gift from the seller. So sweet.
Ah, I really love those side glancing smaller eyes and that lovely smile.
Funny little Carnival tiara, I suppose she is a Carnival Queen though why she has a piglet, who knows?
Take her pinafore off and she has a lovely 50's style frock. Very 50's housewife.......with blue hair. Rockabilly princess?
Wheeeeee.......she is happy to be out of the box after 9 years!
She is my 45th Blythe, I love each and every one of these dolls. More about the reasons why later. Need to think of a name for her, I was wondering Peggy-Sue from the film "Peggy-Sue Got Married".
